We tend to collect or store old medication because we don’t know where to take it. If you are flushing them down the toilet, please stop.
Many pharmacies will gladly take them and dispose of it, however, not all do. Each pharmacy has their own process, so please ask someone and DO NOT just throw it in a trash bin in the pharmacy lobby.

If you are not satisfied with those options, you may take it to the Madison Police Department as they have a drug take back box and is open 24/7.
For syringes, you may place them in a disposable container and throw them away in your normal trash, or you can drop them off at the Huntsville Household Hazarous Waste Facility.
