What is Nixle?
Nixle is a notification system for your local agencies. Alerts are sent regarding severe weather, criminal activities, severe traffic, missing persons and local events.
Other ways to stay informed are via a scanner, and Next Door, but Nixle is the better choice as it is free and fed directly to your email or phone and is updated regularly on their website.
How do I Opt-in?
All you have to do is send a text message of your zip code (ex. 35758) to 888777. If you’d like to be notified via email, there is a form you can fill out on the website. Or whenever you are curious, head on over to the website, enter your zip code and you’ll have all the information in front of you.
